Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the Seal Wax mobile application and related public information services operated by RATEN for the domain raten.it.com.
Seal Wax is a wax seal collection, formula notebook, pour session archive, material pairing log, and studio preference utility. It is not legal document authentication software, notarial seal software, official identity verification software, certified archival conservation software, document security software, collectible appraisal software, or a replacement for legal advice, official document sealing, archival expertise, material safety practices, or professional craft judgment.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
The Application does not collect, log, or store personal information when you download and use it. Registration is not required. The Application has no account creation, login, password, user dashboard, profile, or authorization flow.
If the Application is used with an active internet connection, technical protocol data such as an ephemeral IP address may be transmitted only to facilitate network connectivity. RATEN does not retain this information and does not use it for tracking.
Local app records
Seal Wax is designed for private studio documentation. If you create die photos, die style categories, maker names, matrix material records, dimensions, source details, wax formula names, beeswax ratios, shellac ratios, rosin ratios, pigment notes, flexibility notes, firmness notes, flow behavior notes, pour session entries, finished impression photos, paper stock notes, fabric stock notes, material pairing notes, formula filters, Flexible / Firm / High Flow preferences, two-column grid preferences, reduced animation settings, recent item history, and app settings, those records are intended to remain on your device unless a future feature clearly states otherwise.
Precise real-time location
The Application does not collect precise real-time location information from your mobile device.
Third-party access
Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, no personal data is shared with third parties.
Data Retention
Because Seal Wax does not collect personal data through normal use, RATEN does not retain personal data from the Application on company servers.
Studio records you create inside the Application are local to your device. RATEN cannot access, restore, review, or retain those local records unless you separately and voluntarily send information to RATEN by email or another direct contact method.
If you contact RATEN directly, RATEN may keep your message only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, manage support correspondence, comply with applicable law, and maintain basic business records.
Data Deletion
Because the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, there is no app-collected personal data for RATEN to delete from its servers.
You can delete local app data by using device-level app storage controls, clearing app data where available, or uninstalling the Application from your device. Uninstalling the Application removes the app from your device and may remove local data depending on your operating system settings.
If you voluntarily contacted RATEN and want that correspondence deleted where legally permitted, contact support@raten.it.com.
Opt-out rights
Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, uninstalling the Application simply removes it from your device. If you voluntarily provide information to RATEN through other means, you may request deletion of that information by contacting RATEN.
Children
The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. RATEN does not knowingly solicit data from children or market to them. Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, children’s personal data is not collected by use of the Application alone.
Security
Because the Application does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of personal data exposure from the Application is minimal. No security system is completely secure, but RATEN applies reasonable safeguards to any information it may hold through direct user contact.
Data breach notification
Since the Application does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of a data breach affecting app-collected personal data is minimal. If a breach occurs involving information you voluntarily provided to RATEN, RATEN will notify you as required by applicable law.
Changes
RATEN may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by posting an updated Privacy Policy with a new effective date. Where required by law, RATEN will seek consent to material changes before they take effect.
Your consent
If you voluntarily provide information to RATEN and processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
